loved the rustic and comfortable vibe, especially the foot spa. Great location and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

The historic entrance way of Albergue San Javier was a joy to walk through, and the courtyard had safe parking for my bicycle. The fire pit in the evening was a nice touch, providing a cozy atmosphere to unwind.
There were no lockers to securely store my belongings, and the lack of outlets and lights by each bed was inconvenient. It was also disappointing that there was no hand soap or toilet paper provided in the bathrooms.

The building in the historic district was a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comforts. the rooms were cozy and well-separated, providing privacy and comfort. the showers were hot and refreshing, and the interior patio was a standout feature. We especially enjoyed the soothing fountain, a perfect spot to rest and soak our tired feet.
Felt completely at ease and welcomed, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

I had a fantastic stay at this albergue in a central location. The rustic charm and comfort made it a cozy place to rest after a long day of walking. The foot-soaking section in the patio was a good surprise and really helped soothe my tired feet. Despite the large number of beds in the room, it was surprisingly quiet and I had a peaceful night's sleep. The staff were helpful and the common rooms were nice. I highly recommend Albergue San Javier for anyone visiting Astorga.

Great central location, beautiful and rustic building, friendly staff, foot soaking section in the patio.
Dark room in the morning without adequate lighting, early check-out time, lack of lockers and individual lights/plugs by each bunk, basic bathroom facilities.

the old building had a nice charm to it, and my single bed on the top floor was very comfortable. I never had to wait for a toilet or shower as there were plenty available, and they were all clean. the hostel had great facilities like washing lines, hand washing sinks, and a washing machine and dryer. the atmosphere was fantastic, creating a great hostel experience.
The hostel's environment felt cold and rigid. the rooms were not cosy, and dressing in the showers was awkward as there was limited privacy.
